ConnektIQ is operated by Made By Mobbs Pty Ltd in Australia. This policy explains how ConnektIQ uses and protects the information required to provide the service.
Information ConnektIQ uses
ConnektIQ is designed to use the minimum information needed to securely provide the service. We do not build or maintain a separate database of your Xero financial records.
- Your ConnektIQ account email address and authentication details are used to operate your account.
- Xero connection details, including your organisation identifier and encrypted OAuth access and refresh tokens, are used only to maintain your authorised Xero connection.
- Financial information such as balances, invoices, bills and reports is accessed from Xero on demand when you or an authorised AI client request a ConnektIQ tool. This information is used to produce the requested response rather than being collected into a separate ConnektIQ financial dataset.
- Our hosting and security providers may generate operational information such as request logs, timestamps, security signals and error logs as part of running and protecting the service.
How we use information
We use the information above only to authenticate you, maintain your authorised Xero connection, retrieve information you request, return results to your authorised AI client, operate and secure ConnektIQ, diagnose faults, and provide support.
How Xero data is handled
ConnektIQ uses read-only Xero permissions. It does not use those permissions to create, edit or delete accounting transactions in Xero.
Xero financial data is accessed on demand for an authorised request. ConnektIQ does not intentionally maintain a separate copy of your full Xero ledger as part of normal operation.
Xero OAuth tokens are stored server-side in encrypted form so ConnektIQ can maintain your connection. They are not exposed in your browser or shared with your AI client.
AI clients
When you connect ConnektIQ to ChatGPT, Claude or another compatible AI client, information returned by ConnektIQ is sent to that client at your request. The AI provider's own privacy terms then apply to its handling of that information. ConnektIQ does not control those providers.
Service providers
ConnektIQ uses third-party service providers for accounting connectivity, authentication, hosting, email delivery and related infrastructure. These providers may process limited information necessary to deliver and secure the service, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
We retain only the account and connection information needed to keep your ConnektIQ account and authorised Xero connection operating. You can disconnect Xero without deleting your ConnektIQ account. You can also permanently delete your ConnektIQ account from Account settings; this removes the account and associated stored ConnektIQ connection records, subject to limited information that may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups or security logs for their normal retention periods.
Security
We use measures including server-side access controls, encrypted Xero tokens, HTTPS, user-specific connections and restricted database access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may disconnect Xero, delete your ConnektIQ account, or contact us about access, correction or privacy questions.
